The photos above (taken on the same days) are of new seed alfalfa that was planted into two different seed bed conditions. The photos on the left are of a field that was tilled with the optimizer and the photos on the right are of a field that was tilled conventionaly. Both fields were previously in corn, were seeded with the same alfalfa seed, were seeded on the same day, and have the same type of soil (fields are 20' appart from each other). The growth of the alfalfa in the right field has been stunted due to soil compaction from excessive tillage. Click on photos to enlarge.
